"Mom's In Florida"
We are so blessed to have mom with us in Florida !
The weekend of May 18th we took mom by train from Pittsburgh, PA to Orlando, FL and then drove to Tampa where she will be living with us.
From Pittsburgh to Philadelphia we had a nice ride with comfortable seats and a great view of the scenery. Unfortunately the nice ride ended in Philadelphia. The station and subsequent trip was reminiscent of a 1940's 'Dr. Who' episode (it still looked like it did back in the 40's) and a 'Twilight Zone' episode from the 1960's (the ride was herky jerky back and forth, numerous 'thunks, and going so fast we through we were going to derail) and no one seemed to notice but us ! Mom did exceptionally well and managed to sleep the night through on the train while Val & I struggled to get a couple hours in.
Jessica (Val's daughter) picked us up in Orlando and had flowers for my mom which was simply awesome !
Mom's been adjusting pretty well. Continue to pray for us in our 'adjustment period' and as we get mom hooked up with a good doctor here, get her insurance taken care of, take care of her house, etc.
Very special thanks to my beautiful, drop dead gorgeous wife Valerie as she has welcomed mom with open arms and loves on her like I do. You are more beautiful every day !

"Strength"
Our family is going down a road that we have never been before. It
will require a extra measure of God's strength, His perfect love, and
His always available grace. I could not think of a more perfect song
than "Strength" by Dallas Holm (see below)
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13
I will post more in the coming days but wanted to thank you all so much for your prayers in advance !
"Strength" by Dallas Holm
"Sometimes this life can get confusing;
Sometimes the days can seem so long.
I'm trying to win, but feel I'm losing;
I'm doing right, but feeling wrong.
I need a power that is greater;
I need a faith to keep me strong.
I need a love to give me courage;
I need a Savior who can guide me through the storm.
I need strength
To hold on to you, I need strength
To know what to do, I need strength
Just to make it through the day.
I need strength
Just to hold your hand, I need strength
Just to make a stand, I need a strength
Just to know Your plan for me.
Dallas Holm Strength lyrics found on http://www.lyricsoncall.com/lyrics/dallas-holm/strength-lyrics.html
I want You in my life completely;
All that I need you give by grace.
When life is hard You come so sweetly;
And give me strength to run the race.
I need strength
Just to feel Your grace, I need strength
Just to keep Your pace, I need strength
Just to run the race for You.
I need strength
Just to stand the test, I need strength
Just to do my best, I need strength
Just to find my rest in You.
In my weakness Your strength is made perfect in me.
When I feel I can't go on
Your power, Your power is all I need."
