From a sinner saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. I hope you find my adventures amusing, thought provoking, and always pointing you to the source of love - Jesus Christ
Senior Pastor Rich Nathan's message was entitled "What is the Greatest Threat Facing America Today?". He stated that the greatest threat is not from North Korea or the Swine Flu or imaginary threats dreamt up by the media but philosophies or "false world views". He had a quote from an author who stated "Ideas have consequences and bad ideas have lethal consequences" Wow.
The scripture reference for this is Colossians 2: 4, 8
4 I am telling you this so no one will deceive you with well-crafted arguments.
8 Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers[a] of this world, rather than from Christ.
The way to do this Rich stated is to have "A deepening acquaintance with a person named Jesus" and to say 'yes' to Jesus in more and more areas of you life.
Aren't you thankful for the times in your life when someone was there to help you - with a flat tire, dropping your keys, or getting your wallet returned ? I am sure we can all relate to time like that when someone lent you a helping hand.
But I am so thankful to my Jesus who was the one to "Pull Me Out". I pray that this scripture and song will remind you that Jesus is the one who will indeed "Pull Me Out"
Psalm 40 (New Living Translation)
1 I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. 2 He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. 3 He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.
"Tell me now, when does this start feeling Like I understand everything I’m dealing with First I was young, now it’s all just happening And what about the way I said that Made you turn around and shake your head Like I don’t even know what I’m asking for
This could be all about just letting go This could be all about just holding on
I can’t get my feet off of the ground I wanna run but I don’t know how Can you reach me here and pull me out Can you pull me out, yeah I wanna scream but there’s no sound I wanna fly to you somehow Can you reach me here and pull me out Can you pull me out
Remember when I was young and hungry, I could take it in, without much money, I had nothing at all but dreams and time to kill And now I feel like I’m treading water And I’m hardly real - I’m just trying harder To make my way on the earth by standing still
This could be all about just letting go This could be all about just holding on
I can’t get my feel off of the ground I wanna run but I don’t know how Can you reach me here and pull me out Can you pull me out, yeah I wanna scream but there’s no sound I wanna fly to you somehow Can you reach down here and pull me out Can you pull me out
Not a moment too soon You will be my rescue But tell me how long will it take?
I can’t get my feet off of the ground I wanna run but I don’t know how Can you reach me here and pull me out Can you pull me out I can’t get my feet off of the ground I wanna run but I don’t know how Can you reach me here and pull me out Can you pull me out, yeah I wanna scream but there’s no sound I wanna fly to you somehow Can you reach me here and pull me out Can you pull me out Can you pull me out? can you reach down and pull me out?"
In honor of my hero William F. Horosz Sr., AOMC 1st Class, who proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Lexington CV-16 1942-1945. I send this heavenward to thank you for defending our country !
Applied for a great job located in Columbus and received this via email "Your response to the screening questions places you in the candidate pool for this opening.".
Giving it over to Jesus !

"Praise You In The Storm" by Casting Crowns
"I was sure by now That You would have reached down And wiped our tears away Stepped in and saved the day But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining
As the thunder rolls I barely hear You whisper through the rain "I'm with you" And as Your mercy falls I raise my hands and praise the God who gives And takes away
Chorus: I'll praise You in this storm And I will lift my hands For You are who You are No matter where I am Every tear I've cried You hold in Your hand You never left my side And though my heart is torn I will praise You in this storm
I remember when I stumbled in the wind You heard my cry You raised me up again My strength is almost gone How can I carry on If I can't find You
I lift my eyes unto the hills Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord The maker of heaven and earth"
Got a call from the recruiter about the NETJETS position - they are looking for someone with advanced SQL skills and it is more of a developer role (which does not fit me) however the good news is the hiring manager does remember me and if she has a QA testing position available I am "at the top of her list".
Psalm 42:8 (New Living Translation)
8 But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.
Continue to pray about the job situation – it has been 6 months and I have applied for 120 positions - I had a possible lead on a contracting position with a company called 'NETJETS' here in Columbus and they are known to hire contractors full time (I interviewed with the same manager last year and they really liked me but the position never opened up).
Also could use your prayers as Nationwide is fighting my unemployment with the State of Ohio. Pray that the State rules in my favor.
